The Story of Charity-Ware

Just what is charity-ware? It's a concept that Jimco Software developed over 5 years ago in order to help St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. When you use Jimco Software software, we ask that you make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in whatever amount you feel is appropriate.
In 1999, I suffered from gall bladder attacks. I didn't know what they were at the time. I only knew that they kept me up about one night a week in excruciating pain. I went to doctors who told me that it was just indigestion. None could provide any relief. While I was doubled-over in pain, I would watch late night television until the pain subsided.
 While suffering through an attack one night, I watched a show highlighting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The heartbreaking stories of children being ravaged by cancer tore at my heart. As I watched mothers and fathers falling to their knees in tears as they gave thanks for the miracle of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, I knew that I had to do something to support the work being done there. That's when I started Jimco Software.
One week after making that decision, I was diagnosed with gall stones. I had my gall bladder removed and the nights of pain were gone. I'll let you decide for yourself, but from where I stood, it was clear to me that my gall bladder attacks were a miraculous vehicle through which I was able to create the concept of charity-ware.
