Review | Help & Manual 4.3

At the heart of Help & Manual is a powerful editor that is akin to a word processor. The editor in Help & Manual provides you with what EC Software (the creators of Help & Manual) calls "almost WYSIWYG" editing. Why just almost? Help & Manual can generate documentation in many different formats (including web browser-based documentation and PDF manuals) and that capability means that full WYSIWYG isn't possible. However, in my testing, I found that the WYSIWYG capabilities of Help & Manual surpassed my expectations.

Help & Manual provides powerful features for styling the text you enter. You'll find the traditional features you're used to such as character formatting (bolding, italics, etc.) and styles for headings, but you'll also find unique features that add considerable power to your formatting options. For example, when you are managing the styles for your project, you can configure specific settings for different types of output. Suppose you want to choose different formatting for your print output. It's simple to do using Help & Manual. As shown in Figure 2, you can easily choose different formatting for specific types of output, and because this is all style-based, you can make project-wide changes with just a few clicks!
